Frequently asked questions

We understand you might have questions about our mobile vehicle services, from booking a tyre fitting at your home to understanding how we diagnose a car issue. Here, you'll find comprehensive answers to help you navigate our offerings and ensure a smooth experience with Power Performance LTD.

Once I've filled out my details and what I need on your website, what happens next? How will I get my quote and confirm the booking?

Once details have been filled out, we will contact you within 24 hours. If we have everything we need to get you a quote, we will provide it at the first instance. If not, we will message back for more information. Once the price is given, we will discuss availability that suits you.

Can you come to my home, workplace, or even if I've broken down, to carry out the work?

Yes, anywhere in the North West, United Kingdom! With a busy life and never-ending jobs, it's a big relief. We will fix it, and you can tell your wife you fixed it! (Just kidding, we'll make sure it's done right by us).

I know something's wrong with my car, or I need some maintenance, but I'm not sure which specific service to choose. Can you help me work it out?

Of course! WhatsApp the symptoms to us at 07789432900 and we will look into it for you. We can help diagnose the issue and recommend the best service from tyre fitting, car servicing, brakes, diagnostics, or even a mini valet.

How do you work out the cost for my service, and when and how do I pay you?

We will contact our suppliers to get the best price for parts. For labour, we use labour hours based on manufacturers' recommendations, but with a more realistic and competitive approach. Payment details will be confirmed with your quote.

How do I find my tyre size?

Tyre sizes are found on the sidewall, appearing as a code (e.g., 205/55R16 91V) indicating width in mm (205), aspect ratio/profile (55%), construction (R for radial), rim diameter in inches (16), load index (91), and speed rating (V). Check the driver’s side door pillar, fuel flap, or manual for the correct size.

What's a locking nut?

A locking nut, or locking wheel nut, is a specialized, uniquely patterned lug nut fitted to car wheels to prevent theft. Unlike standard nuts, it requires a specific matching key to remove, acting as a security measure for alloy wheels. Modern cars typically have one per wheel, and the key is essential for maintenance.
